You sang at my wedding in 1999 on the Cape. 10 years later, I saw you perform in Watertown. WOW--what a spectacular show. I LOVED it and I LOVE your CD. Please let me know when you perform again in the area so I can bring my wife, kids and friends to see you. I will be recording some of my own original music soon. I would love to share it with you if you are ever interested!

Donna:
It is so wonderful that you have touched so many lives along life's journey. Again, whenever I am at work and I need to calm down an anxious moment, I play one of your Berklee CD's and that beautiful voice of yours elevates my spirit in my work area. "How Deep Is the Ocean?" is one of my favorites. Keep on being you! Much love and lifelong friendship to you always!

I really enjoyed the class you had July 12-14 - vocal training - during the recent Stage Presence workshop at Berklee. I thought you were great and very down to earth. I like the way you don't mince words, but say what you really mean and not beat around the bush. Thanks again; I really learned a lot and in a short time! Can't wait to learn more. Have a great summer...

I am a long-time childhood friend of Donna's. Our mothers still live 2 doors away from each other in Louisville, KY and are still friends. My family was/is her family. Education, music and religion, not necessarily in that order were essential tools in the McElroy household. When I would enter their house, jazz would ALWAYS be playing, and her dad would be proudly enjoying it and explaining the background of the artist. Donna was a natural lover of music and loved to sing. She doesn't like me to tell this, but Donna used to sneak and play her dad's records when he left for work. I mean, he barely got out of the house, and she would raise the cover on his turntable, and play one of his favorite albums, knowing the consequences if she ruined an album. Before the days of air conditioning, the whole neighborhood could hear Donna literally singing "The Blues" as she was busting suds in their kitchen. The difference THEN was nobody called the police when they heard this soothing singing, because they really enjoyed it and it was free. When we were young, Donna sang in the house, in the backyard, anywhere or anytime. I can't remember a time when she
wasn't singing. She had a beautiful voice then and still does, but she could do some great imitations, of Sarah Vaughn, Aretha, Barbara Streisand and many more. Donna is still a great friend even though I don't get to see her that much, but we both love and respect each other. She always calls me when something exciting is about to happen in her life. I thank God that I have had Donna in my life for such a long time! Keep it up, Donna and may God continue to shower you with His blessings!
